Dark amber yellow color in the glass, with deep golden hues. The olfactory bouquet is complex and articulated, composed of hints that recall honey, vanilla, dried fruit and caramel. The taste is sweet, soft, velvety and dense, well balanced between sugars and freshness, and with excellent persistence.
Perfect in combination with dry pastries, such as pies or biscuits, and especially with the famous Tuscan cantucci. We also recommend tasting it with almonds, dark chocolate and dried figs. These flavors, in fact, recall the complex and enveloping fragrances that Vin Santo di Montepulciano gives to the palate.

Vin Santo di Montepulciano is sweet wine produced in the town of Montepulciano, Tuscany. Montepulciano is much better known for its Sangiovese-based red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, but there is a lot to be said for the sweet whites made from the area's vineyards. Terroir plays an important role, and only those sites offering excellent exposure with an ideal microclimate and composition of soils are deemed suitable for this classified wine. Vineyards must be predominantly east facing, at an altitude of 250 to 600 meters (800–2000ft) above sea level, and the soils mainly sandy clay.
Vin Santo di Montepulciano is made from a minimum 70% Malvasia Bianca and Trebbiano Toscano grapes, individually or blended together. All the fruit must be grown in the specified prime area, which is the entire municipality of Montepulciano except for the lower part of the Val di Chiana (Chiana Valley). Regulations governing vinification and maturation are prescriptive. The grapes are carefully selected and left to dry on straw mats in temperature-controlled rooms. Vin Santo di Montepulciano must be aged for at least three years.
