Caprese

Caprese is fresh and simple recipe, perfect for spring and summer. The Caprese is a plate with a genuine and proper intake of calories. This dish is perfect paired with a fresh white wine as Vernaccia di San Gimignano.

Ingredients

  • Mozzarella: 12 ounces sliced thick;
  • Tomatoes: 4 medium-sized;
  • Fresh basil: a few leaves;
  • Extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons;
  • Salt: to taste.

  • Preparation: 10/15 min.

 

Procedure:

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into thin slices. So take the mozzarella and cut into slices. Arrange the slices of mozzarella and the tomato on a serving plate, alternating with each other. Season the Caprese with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, basil leaves and salt. Serve cool.
